2013 April PAD Challenge: Day 17

For today’s prompt, write an express poem. This might be about an express train or express delivery. It might have something to do with expression painting. However you come at this prompt, be sure to express yourself.

Life in the express lane has gotten so hectic.

We instantly want everything now, we expect it.

Fast food, fast cars, fast connections, fast everything.

We even complain when waiting on a simple loading screen.

We have instant this. We want instant that.

We miss the point of living because we’re moving too fast.

Read a book

            …slow it down.

Enjoy some music

            …slow it down.

Go for a walk

            …slow it down.

Watch a sunset

            …slow it down.

Take time now because there is so much to gain.

Don’t miss your exit to get off life’s Express Lane.
