2013 April PAD Challenge: Day 09 (Part 1)

Today is a Two-for-Tuesday prompt. Write one of the following (or both):
-Write a hunter poem.
-Write a hunted poem.

(This is Part 1 of 4 of a poetic story.)

She moves methodically and swiftly,

            Stalking her prey.

He moves frantically and clumsy,

            Trying to get away.

Shadow to shadow, she maneuvers invisibly,

            Her sight unseen.

Alley to alley, he escapes … briefly,

            His capture foreseen.

Footfalls like wind, silent as can be,

            She begins her stealthy attack…

Pulse like thunder, pounding relentlessly,

            He knows without looking back…

She strikes. He yields.

She bites. He kneels.

She lives. He dies.

She gives. He…

…becomes revitalized.

They move methodically and swiftly,

            Stalking their prey.
