Tick-tock goes the clock
Continually measuring me nonstop

From a second to a minute to an hour,
I am being multiplied to an infinite power

Amassing many years, months, and weeks
And just when you think I’m done, my cycle repeats

Tick-tock goes the clock….

Wednesday Poetry Prompt: 208 (01-30-2013)
For this week’s prompt, write a forever poem. The poem could be about things that last forever, take forever, or play on the concept that nothing lasts forever. So many possibilities exist that I’m sure some poets could write on this prompt forever.
